Almost 15 years ago Avetti filed patents on innovative email encryption technology and saw an application of it where it could be used to email credit cards securely from a website to a business owner. What was needed next was a small catalog product that could be used with this to accept orders over the Internet.
That small 30 day project was the genesis of Avetti Commerce 7. We have worked with dozens of large enterprises with high volume requirements and complex integration and many growing mid-sized businesses with limited customization requirements.
What we have learned
E-commerce is really about modelling a company's business processes and each company we worked with has interesting ways of doing business that brought new features into Avetti Commerce. Our model is that every feature we do becomes part of our solution and this has given us a very deep product that can model most ecommerce requirements. Ecommerce is not just about adding a buy button to a web page. Creating a high volume automated sales site fully integrated with ERP systems, shipping providers, warehouses and business partners making it scale and perform well at high load volumes is not easy.
